From an Idea to a Thriving Community: My Journey with Clemmer Classic Pickleball

One of the most rewarding parts of being a web designer is getting to watch a client's dream grow from an idea into something bigger than either of you imagined.

That's exactly what happened with Clemmer Classic Pickleball.

I first met Staci Clemmer in 2020. At the time, pickleball was growing, but it had not yet become the phenomenon it is today. What stood out to me immediately was Staci's passion. She wasn't simply teaching a sport. She was building community, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect through pickleball.

From our very first conversations, it was clear she had a vision.

What began as a website project quickly became a long-term partnership.

Building the Foundation

When we first launched Clemmer Classic Pickleball, the goal was simple: create a professional online presence that reflected Staci's coaching expertise and gave players a place to learn more about lessons, clinics, and training opportunities.

As her reputation grew, so did the community.

New players were joining clinics. Returning students were bringing friends. Events expanded. Opportunities increased. What started as a coaching business was becoming something much larger.

Over the years, we've continued evolving the website to support that growth.

Moving to Wix Studio

Recently, we made the decision to transition Clemmer Classic Pickleball to Wix Studio.

This was an exciting milestone.

Wix Studio provides greater flexibility, improved performance, advanced design capabilities, and a stronger foundation for future growth. The move allowed us to modernize the website experience while creating opportunities for expanded functionality.

The new platform gives us the ability to build smarter systems, improve mobile experiences, enhance SEO, and create a more connected experience for players and members.

For a growing community like Clemmer Classic Pickleball, that matters.

Launching the Community App

One of the most exciting additions to the project has been the launch of the Clemmer Classic Pickleball Community App.

As the community continued to grow, we wanted to create a central place where players could stay connected beyond the court.

The app allows members to:

Connect with fellow players
Stay informed about events and clinics
Access updates and announcements
Participate in community conversations
Strengthen relationships within the pickleball community

What I love most about this feature is that it supports what Staci has always cared about most: people.

The technology is important, but the real value comes from helping people build friendships, stay active, and feel connected.

A Passion for Senior Pickleball

One thing that has remained consistent throughout our partnership is Staci's commitment to senior players.

She understands something many people overlook: pickleball isn't just exercise.

For many seniors, it's community.

It's movement.

It's confidence.

It's friendship.

It's purpose.

I've watched Staci create environments where players feel welcomed regardless of skill level. Her ability to encourage, teach, and inspire is one of the reasons her community continues to grow year after year.

More Than Pickleball

Something many people may not know about Staci is that her passion for education extends beyond sports.

In addition to her work in pickleball, she has also developed educational programs focused on cursive writing and mathematics for children.

Whether she's teaching a child foundational learning skills or helping adults discover a new passion through pickleball, the mission remains the same: helping people learn, grow, and succeed.

That's something I've always admired about her.

Watching the Community Explode

As a web designer, there are projects you complete and move on from.

Then there are projects like this one.

Over the last several years, I've had a front-row seat to the incredible growth of Clemmer Classic Pickleball. I've watched the community expand, the programs grow, and the impact reach more people than anyone could have predicted back in 2020.

The website has evolved.

The technology has evolved.

The community has evolved.

But the heart behind it all has stayed the same.

Staci's commitment to serving people, building relationships, and creating opportunities through pickleball continues to be the driving force behind everything she does.

Looking Ahead

As we continue building on Wix Studio and expanding the community app experience, I'm excited about what's next for Clemmer Classic Pickleball.

The future of the brand isn't just about a website.

It's about creating an ecosystem that supports players, families, seniors, educators, and community members in meaningful ways.

It's been an honor to be part of the journey from the beginning, and I can't wait to see where the next chapter takes us.
